What Does Grass-Fed, Grass-Finished Mean?

Grass-fed, grass-finished means that our cattle are raised exclusively on grass and forage for their entire lives - never grain-fed at any stage. Unlike conventional beef, which is often finished on grain to promote rapid weight gain, our cattle graze on pasture during the growing season and are fed hay and baleage (fermented hay) in the winter. This natural diet results in leaner, nutrient-rich meat with a natural, robust flavor while supporting the health of our animals and the land.

Is Your Meat Organic?

No, our meat is not Certified Organic, however we take great pride in the products we produce so we follow strict Quality Assurance protocols and only use the best ingredients in all of the products we produce. All of our animal feed is produced on farm so we can control everything that is put into it. We grow all of our hay for the cattle and also grow and mix all of our own grain for the hogs.

What Do You Feed Your Laying Hens?

Our egg-laying hens are currently fed a custom blend from a trusted local feed mill. While we don’t grow their feed on-farm like we do for our beef and pork, we carefully choose feed made with high-quality ingredients. We’re committed to raising all of our animals with care and attention to what goes into their diet, even when it’s sourced off the farm.
